HERITAGE CARE
For many years, the Joy Club with the Esther Class have provided Christmas gifts for every resident of Heritage Care, an assisted living facility. Throughout the year, the Exodus Class delivers artwork created by the children of Blackwell’s Preschool and Kindergarten, which the residents greatly enjoy.
BACKPACK BUDDIES
BackPack Buddies is a mission to provide food over the weekend for low-income school children at our adopted school, Sheep-Harney Elementary School. It serves children from pre-school to fifth grade.
CHRISTMAS CARDS & FRUIT BASKETS FOR SHUT-INS
We had the challenge of getting Christmas cards signed during outdoor church service but we were able to ensure that each homebound member got at least 25 cards and a Christmas ornament along with a basket of fruit the deacons delivered to those living locally. We wanted to make sure our homebound members knew we loved them and missed them. One was hand delivered to Connie Liverman in Dare county and a box was mailed to Katherine Aydlett in Huntersville, North Carolina.
